Elysian Gangchon Ski Resort, South Korea

Hi Guys, How are you today? I hope you guys all in good condition, healthy and happy. For anyone who feels sad and sick, please be strong, hang in there, and it sure will be passed. Anyway, in this post I will tel you about my experience when I and my friends went to Ski Resort in South Korea. Elysian Ski resort is the nearest ski resort from Seoul, and we can reach it with Train. So If you plan to go to South Korea in Winter, I think Elysian Ski Resort is must visited place to enjoy the real winter with snow.

Elysian Ski Resort

Elysian Ski Resort is located just an hour away from Seoul and the only ski resort in Korea that can be reached by subway. From Seoul you can take the subway (Gyeongchun Line) or ITX-Cheongchun Train and Stop to Baegyangri Station. Baeyangri Station is 2 stop away from Gapyeong Station (if we want to go to Nami we will stop at this station). At Baeyangri Station , there is sguttle bus to go to the ski resorst, it’s free.

Waiting for our train, so freezing cold at that time

When I went to Elysian and arrived at Baeyangri, I experienced my first snow, so beautiful and feel magical. As someone who live in Indonesia, winter and snow is so special for me, i can not forget it. FYI, I visited this resort at 16 January. We rode the bus, the bus park around exit station, so after arrived at the station just walk outside anf you can find the bus park there.

We didn’t play ski here, but if you guys want to play ski here you can check their website here and check how to and how much to play ski here. We play sledding slope here, yes childish game right, but believe me it’s so fun and me want to play it again and again. You can check the price here .

First time can hold snow like this, like shaved ice

If you don’t want to play ski and also don’t want to sledding then you can just play snow. There is area that full of snow, even there is no snow falling they have snow making machine to make it, so at that area that is so much snow and feel free to playing and rolling in the snow. This area is separated from ski area and sledding area, so don’t be afraid someone will hit you while skiing or sledding, you are safe to play snow here.

Winter Wonderland
My first Snowman

I am so happy that day, too many first experience of my life here. First snow, first sledding, first snowman, first making snow angel, and many more. As people who lived in country that don’t have winter, this experience is so unforgettable experience for me, despite how cold that day, i still enjoy it very much.

5 Places to enjoy Autumn in Seoul, South Korea

Hi Guys, kali ini based on my own experince Autumn in Korea,  Lil Sis mau share 5 tempat yang wajib dikunjungi untuk merasakan musim gugur di Seoul, Korea Selatan.

Anyway it’s based on my own experience ya jadi kalo ada yang tidak sependapat mohon maaf ya. So, check this out : Continue reading

AUTUMN IN KOREA – DAY 13 (SEOUL) – Itaewon, Dongdaemun, Lantern Fest @Cheonggyeocheon

So, Finally I arrived at our last Day in Korea. This post will be aour last post about our daily activities in South Korea Autumn 2014. I finished this post after 2 years, not something to brag i think, but at least I finished it. Yeahhh. So actually, we have 14 days in Korea, but the 14th day is nothing compare the other days, We woke up early , went to airport, and went home, nothing special activity, So in my Blog, Day 13 will become the last day. I will talk about Day 14 in last paragraph, for the ending of my Autumn in Korea post.

So, In our last day, we feel little bit gloomy, our day in South Korea will be finished, and we will start our routine activities in Jakarta again. And our last day in South Korea is so damn cold, I think the temperature is down drastically compare than the other day, actually in the night, I nearly be ninja with all the armor I used. So, today Mr Damz still has ambition to see idol, so He went to brodcasting company this time. He woke up in the morning and went there, we plan to meet at Itaewon in the afternoon. And the girl, we decided to packing our luggage. We clean up our thing and packed in in our bag.

AUTUMN IN KOREA – DAY 7 (SEOUL) – Changdeokgung, Gwanjgang Market, Namsan Tower

I guess some of you want to know more about my trip in Korea, so with all of my will I try to write this post diligently when office break in Friday. It’s long break because of Friday Prayer. Well, from Jongmyo Shrine we went to Changdeokgung Palace. Changdeokgung Palace was the second royal villa built following the construction of Gyeongbukgung Palace in 1405. It was the principal palace for many kings of the Joseon Dynasty, and is the most well-preserved of the five remaining royal Joseon palaces. The palace grounds are comprised of a public palace area, a royal family residence building, and the rear garden. Changdeokgung Palace was recognized as a World Cultural Heritage site by the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Committee in December of 1997. In Changdeokgung Palce there is a Secret Garden or Huwon. Huwon is the best place for the King and royal family to take a rest from political issues. It’s like place for relaxation, meditation, vacation for them.

The Admission Fee to Changdeokgung is 3000 KRW and for Huwon is 5000 KRW. So if you want to visit both place you must pay 8000 KRW. But if you buy Integrated ticket for 10000 KRW, you will get ticket for Jongmyo Shrine and 4 palaces include Huwon. So better buy Integrated ticket I think. But to enter Huwon, we must follow the tour , we can not enter as we like. There are some session in a days, one session is limited to 100 person. We arrived late there, so no more session for that day, we cannot enter the Huwon, we just see the entrance. *sob *sob

Today we will go to Cheong Wa Dae or known as Blue House (청와대). It’s called Blue House because it has blue roof. Simple right. Cheong wa dae is presidential residence, it’s like White House in USA, or Istana Negara in Indonesia.  It’s open to public, so tourist can go there, with reservation before, tourist will be guided in groups and will be taken around the place. We were really curious about cheong wa dae, so we decided to take the tour. We reserved the tour via web. you can check it here. Foreigner must be reserved the tour at least 3 weeks before. We must enter our personal information like name and passport number correctly, because it will be checked and if we make a mistake, we can not enter the tour.

AUTUMN IN KOREA – DAY 6(SEOUL) – First step in Seoul , Tosokchon

If you read my last post, I already tell you that we stay overnight at Jimjilbang. We didn’t get a good sleep there, but at least we got good experience.  We had flight in the morning, so we woke up early that day. Start with Miss Pepz, she woke up 4 am in the morning, she enjoy bathing alone, and dip her body in the hot tube without anybody see her. I woke up around 5 am and didn’t find Miss Pepz and Big Sis; I guessed they already went down stairs. I saw Mr. Damz still sleeping there; I let him sleep more because I thought it’s too early to wake up him. So I woke up and went down. I found Miss Pepz and Big Sis sat while watched television. Miss Pepz already took a bath.  So I decided to prepare myself too. I didn’t shower today. I already clean my self tomorrow night, so I just wash my face and brush my tooth. And then I followed Miss Pepz and Big Sis watching TV. We bought ramen cup to fill our cold stomach. After we finished, we checked Mr. Damz. He was ready too. So we met at the receptionist. Yesterday, we asked the receptionist to call a taxi for us. Thankfully she is so helpful, the taxi comes in time and we directly went to airport.

Traveling to Korea – Preparation – 10 must have items

Selain mengumpulkan uang mencari teman pergi juga is a must.

Continue reading
